Ole Petter Ottersen
MD PhD Ole Petter Ottersen was President at Karolinska Institutet from 2017 until 2023. Before that he served eight years (2009-2017) as rector (President) of the University of Oslo (UiO). From 2002 to 2009 he was Director of Centre for Molecular Biology and Neuroscience – one of Norway’s Centres of Excellence. Mr Ottersen has also served as Dean of Research at UiO’s Faculty of Medicine (2000-2002) and as Head of the UiO’s Department of Anatomy (1997-1999).

Ståle Kvitle
Mr. Kvitle has 20+ years of experience from Medical Devices within Johnson & Johnson, including leading international roles in sales and marketing for multiple business units, and has extensive experience from product development to commercialization of new technologies. Kvitle hold a Master in Business and Economics from BI, Norwegian School of Business.
Nicolas Brun-Lie
Mr. Brun-Lie is a senior lawyer and has 40 + years of experience as corporate and commercial law advisor to Norwegian and international clients, with core expertise in capital management, private equity and finance. Brun-Lie holds a cand.jur (LLM) from the University of Oslo, Norway and has been admitted to the bar since 1985. Nicolas Brun-Lie is the owner of Orinoco AS, the largest shareholder of Pre Diagnostics AS. He is also a member of the board of several other companies.
MD PhD
Marie Skarbøvik Buchmann
Marie is MD from University of Oslo and PhD Biochemistry from University of Oslo (UiO). She worked 9 years at Rikshosptalet, Oslo, and University of Oslo. Marie is a specialist in medical biochemistry and clinical pharmacology. She has experience as Medical Advisor at Nycomed Imaging as well as at Axis Shield. Marie worked at Fürst Medical Laboratory from 1998-2023 as Senior Physician and Medical Director. As Medical Director at Fürst Marie had the responsibility for the laboratory activities within medical biochemistry, clinical pharmacology, immunology and microbiology until she retired in 2023.
Birgit Niestad
Birgit Nistad is the General Manager of Nistadgruppen AS. Nistadgruppen AS is a family-owned investment company in the real estate, shipping, and technology sectors. The technology areas that they invest in are health, AI and environmental technology.
Birgit Nistad studied at NTH/NTNU and is now taking further education at NTNU (Industrial Economics).
